We hear of busy scenes in a studio adjacent to Jamaica Street, Glasgow, where plots of Scottish pictures are being rapidly 'clicked'. Why the producer does not take advantage of the real romantic scenes of Scotland when he is so near hand to them is a bit of a puzzle to the writer, and Stoll's example in going to Aberfoyle to make part of their Lochinvar film this week could well be copied. Neither the brain nor the brush of the scenic artist can rival the glorious landscapes of Auld Scotia and her famous mountains, glens and rivers as film settings will yet out rival Los Angeles when British producers get imbued with the charm and rugged grandeur which make Scotchmen proud of their country.
